Banana Bread

Banana Bread

Review:

Banana bread is one of my favourite recipes as it tastes delicious and I can eat it for breakfast! I chose this recipe by Cookie and Kate as it has no refined sugar and uses only natural sweeteners including maple syrup and ripe bananas. I really enjoyed whisking the ingredients and watching the mixture come together before sprinkling it with cinnamon and making spiral patterns on top.

I would give it a 4.9 star rating!

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cups of coconut oil

  • 1/4 cup of honey

  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 ripe bananas mashed

  • 1/4 cup of milk

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 3/4 cup of plain flour

  • 1/4 cup of walnuts

Utensils:

  • whisk

  • teaspoons

  • fork

  • measuring cups

  • large mixing bowl

  • baking tin

  • oven

Steps:

1. Pre-heat oven to 165 degrees celsius.

2. Place the coconut oil in a mug and microwave for about 30 seconds to melt it.

3. Then, in the large mixing bowl, beat the coconut oil and honey together with a whisk.

4. Mix in the baking soda , salt , vanilla and the cinnamon and then whisk to blend.

5. Then switch to a bigger spoon and stir in the flour gently until combined.

6. Pour into the baking tin and sprinkle cinnamon on top dragging the end of a spoon over the top to make a marble effect.

7. Lastly, add some walnuts on top to give it a yummy crunchy texture.

8. Put it in the oven for 55-60 minutes and bake until golden brown.

9. Enjoy!!
